John Rotella

John Rotella is Chief of Staff for the Company reporting to Terry Rich. He brings more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry, including driving positive workplace culture and leading successful teams. His background in product development and manufacturing focuses on understanding physicians’ needs and improving patients’ lives. John started his career in R&D at Kimberly-Clark Healthcare/Halyard Health, holding 32 U.S. patents in digestive health, acute pain and surgical, infection and prevention healthcare devices. He later held a position as a plant manager for Avanos Medical in Tijuana, MX where he supported HPMS implementation. Prior to joining Surgalign, he served as Senior Director of Operations for Owens & Minor Halyard.

John earned a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Florida.
