Bob Watkins

Bob joined the company in September 2020 as the Chief Information & Technology Officer. He brings over 25 years of national and international experience in a range of industries including medical devices, electronics, materials, engineering and manufacturing. Bob has a broad business perspective that is a result of leading multiple functions, including information technology, supply chain, product marketing, and engineering. He is passionate about leveraging technology and change leadership to drive business transformation, and has successfully led multiple digital, supply chain, and technology transformations. In his role, Bob will focus on three specific areas for Surgalign: IT strategy & execution, business process development, and the implementation and commercialization of our digital strategy.

Prior to joining Surgalign, Bob was Vice President of IT for R&D, Supply Chain, Quality and Regulatory at Smith & Nephew. Previously he held leadership roles at Johnson Controls, General Electric and SABIC. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering from the University of Massachusetts. Bob is located near Boston with his wife Kristen, and three children, Andrew, Olivia, and Ava.
